Our Trahana is handcrafted using smoked Boukovo pepper flakes made from the local Bahovo pepper variety, traditionally dried and naturally smoked in Almopia. Kneaded into the trahana itself, they give it a delicate smoky aroma and a gentle warmth that lingers without overpowering the dish.

Easy to prepare, it makes a comforting soup and is equally suited to more creative recipes, from a spicy trahanoto to dishes with chicken, sausages or grilled meats.
