Opos Palia Peach Compote 750ml

A good peach compote begins with good peaches.

Ours come from Almopia, a place where peaches have long been part of the landscape. We select them one by one, peel them by hand and cut them into generous pieces before they go into the jar. The recipe is simple and contains no preservatives, allowing the fruit to hold on to its flavour, aroma and texture.

Serve it well chilled, use the peaches in tarts and desserts, or cut them into smaller pieces and spoon them over yogurt. For an easy fruit salad, mix them with apples, pears, oranges, strawberries or whatever fruit you have at home, then finish with a little of the compote syrup.

And there is one more way we particularly love: blend the peaches together with their syrup until smooth and thick, then pour over plenty of ice. A simple, refreshing drink made straight from the jar.
